Bonn's foreign minister to fence-mend in Israel

West German Foreign Minister Hans-Dietrich Genscher will visit Israel June 2 for three days of talks in a bid to improve strained relations between the two countries, the Foreign Ministry announced. Relations between them were shaken last year when Prime Minister Menachem Begin made personal attacks on Chancellor Helmut Schmidt. The attacks came after Mr. Schmidt said the Palestinian people had a moral claim to self-determination.
