American teacher released by China

American teacher Lisa Wichser was freed Thursday and ordered to leave China within 48 hours after being detained for six days by Chinese police for stealing ''state secrets.''

A Chinese Foreign Ministry statement issued as Miss Wichser was freed said she had made a confession of the crimes she committed and pleaded for leniency.
