North and South Koreans fire across the border

North and South Koreans exchanged gunfire for the third time this year across the demilitarized zone dividing the Korean Peninsula, the Defense Ministry in Seoul said.

The US-led United Nations Command protested to the north against the incident through the military armistice commission at the Panmunjom border truce village, the spokesman said.
