Florida Senate again kills Equal Rights Amendment

For the fifth time in 10 years the Florida Senate refused to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment to the US Constitution Monday. The vote was 16 to 22. The Florida House had approved the amendment, 60 to 58, earlier in the day, but under Florida law ratification requires the approval of both houses in the same year.
