New foreign minister named in Argentina

President-designate Reynaldo Bignone has picked Argentina's ambassador to Venezuela, Juan Ramon Aguirre Lanari, to replace disgraced Foreign Minister Nicanor Costa Mendez.

But civilian politicians warned that Mr. Bignone's handling of Argentina's depressed economy, rather than his foreign policy, will determine whether his government survives.
