July travelers to the Pacific Northwest can join in Portland's biggest Scottish weekend. The 30th annual Portland Highland Games and Clan Gathering July 16-18 will this year host the second annual US Highland dancing championships and the world-class Christchurch, New Zealand, Highland Pipe Band, in addition to traditional Highland Games events such as dancing, piping, drumming, pipe band competitions, a gala Scottish party, and other Scottish specialties.
