Open House Day in historic Litchfield, Conn., on Saturday, July 10, will give the public a once-a-year opportunity to view significant 18th-century homes and landmarks in the community. This 35th annual tour, to benefit the Connecticut Junior Republic, may begin in Litchfield or in nearby Milton, taking visitors through lovely back-country terrain rarely observed by the occasional traveler. Three of the five private homes and several points of interest are in tranquil Milton, about five miles from Litchfield Center.

The Open House event offers a luncheon at the Connecticut Junior Republic. In each of the open houses and at other points of interest will be outstanding flower arrangements provided by the Litchfield Garden Club. Flowers are provided by the White Flower Farm in Litchfield.

The tour hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and tickets are $8 if purchased in advance, and $10 if bought on the day of the tour. For information or advance ticket purchase, contact Mrs. Richard T. Spear, Milton Road, Litchfield, Conn. 06759.
