Nicaragua says it's ready to have talks with US
| Paris
Nicaragua is ready to negotiate with the United States despite the Reagan administration's ''silent invasion'' against the leftist Sandinista regime, a senior Nicaraguan official said.
Daniel Ortega Saavedra, a member of the ruling Nicaraguan directorate and coordinator of the junta, said at a news conference at the end of a two-day official visit here that his country's demand for talks has been repulsed by the US. He said the US is building two military airports and a naval base in Honduras and furnishing arms to Honduras for intervention in Nicaragua.
