US consumer confidence rises

Consumer confidence was up again in July after dropping off slightly in June, according to the Conference Board.

The consumer confidence index (1969-1970 equals 100) climbed to 61.3 in July, up by more than four points over June. This is the third monthly advance in the last four months.
