A window box can be more than beautiful

If you have enough space for a window box, you have enough space for a garden. Plant flowers in front for show; the vegetables in the back, suggests Dr. Edwin D. Carpenter of the University of Connecticut's cooperative extension service.

Dr. Carpenter says it is important to determine how much total space you have , both vertically and horizontally, and then plant accordingly.
