Haig returns to advise United Technologies

Former Secretary of State Alexander M. Haig Jr. will become chairman of an international advisory committee for the United Technologies Corporation, the company said.
Haig served as the high-technology firm's president and chief operating officer after his retirement from the army in 1979 and before he joined the Reagan administration. The firmsaid Haig would develop in-depth assessments of social, political and economic trends in all areas of the world.
