Arab League group in US to discuss Reagan plan

An Arab League delegation led by King Hassan of Morocco assembled Thursday to discuss Mideast peace proposals with President Reagan and other American officials.

The six-nation delegation will explain proposals put forward by last month's Arab League summit meeting in Fez, Morocco, and hear firsthand Mr. Reagan's peace plan.

In a separate meeting, Secretary of State George Shultz talked with Israeli Foreign Minister Yitzhak Shamir as part of a series of meetings to discuss peace plans for the Middle East. Israel has rejected both the Arab League's and President Reagan's peace plans.
