You give us The robin's egg to see So delicate and blue You give us The heavy bark of oak The dark The light The pumpkin fields The geese in loose Arrows of flight. Behold You send the goldenrod The mint The honeyed meadow heat The firethorn The brilliant bittersweet. You give us sounds of Wind and sea Rain and thunder And oh the wonder of the snow That sweeps so peacefully The land asleep.
