India, Pakistan to set up panel on easing tension

India and Pakistan agreed to set up a joint commission and continue talks next month on draft treaties aimed at easing tension between the two countries, which have fought three wars in the past 35 years.

The decisions on improving bilateral relations were made at a meeting here between Pakistan President Muhammad Zia ul-Haq and Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
