5 Salvadorans face trial in missionary murders

A Salvadoran judge ruled that five national guardsmen must stand trial in connection with the killing of four US women missionaries nearly two years ago, the court secretary said.

The decision brings to an end hearings into the evidence against the guardsmen which have been going on since February, when they were formally charged. A trial date has not yet been set.
