That's if you want to go to Albany, Ga., for your next big meeting. In a sample of 100 cities of varied sizes, a Wisconsin-based management consulting firm found that daily costs for meals and lodging are lowest - about $57 - in Albany. Others under $60 a day: Springfield, Mo.; Great Falls, Mont.; and Sioux Falls, S.D. Cities with top daily rates included New York (highest at $163.80), Washington, D.C.; San Francisco; Los Angeles; and Chicago.

The top five will set you back by at least $118 a day.m
