Mondale to decide on running within a month

Former Vice-President Walter Mondale said he will decide whether to seek the 1984 Democratic presidential nomination ''within a month'' and announce his decision sometime next year. Mr. Mondale was speaking at his first news conference since Democrat Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts took himself out of the race.
