The corporate gift givers

The Dartnell Institute of Business Research reports from a biennial survey that corporations are watching their dollars, especially in regard to expensive gifts. Only 7 percent will get gifts valued at more than $50, compared with 31 percent in 1980.

Sixty percent of the firms surveyed indicated they plan to give gifts, the highest proportion since the surveys began in 1976.
