The market showed signs of tiring last week. The Dow Jones industrial average finished the week at 1,018.76, with a loss of 12.60 points. Even Henry Kaufman's predictions of lower interest rates in 1983 could not sustain the rally, as tax selling and profit taking weighed the market down.
