False. A recent American Bar Association poll of its regular members showed that 84 percent say they are willing to give pro bono services to the needy through some organized channel such as a legal services office or corporate legal department.

More than half the lawyers questioned said they were willing to give 50 or more hours a year to provide free counsel.
