President of Israel reports adamance about borders
| Boston
Israeli President Yitzhak Navon said he told President Reagan last week that there was a broad consensus in his country that Israel would never go back to its 1967 borders.
Mr. Navon, speaking to 2,500 people at a suburban Boston temple, said the 1967 borders were indefensible and represented a risk to the safety and survival of his nation. To the proposition that peace without security arrangements cannot last, he said, at least 90 percent of the members of Israel's parliament are in concurrence.
