Fantasy Land

Somewhere in a mystical land, far, far away; A place where only children's dreams can ever stray; There is a land where teddy bears love to play. They slide down the rainbows and play in the sun; They ride stars and moonbeams, a game that is fun; No one is unhappy there; no, not anyone. They have many parties, a fun thing to do; They invite all their friends just as you and I do; And they play games and eat just like us too! The teddy bears have picnics, and so not to be rude, Since there may be extra guests, they bring plenty of food. In a teddy bear land, far, far away, Only teddy bears can enter, and only teddy bears may stay.

Why is Christian Science in our name?

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

The Church publishes the Monitor because it sees good journalism as vital to progress in the world. Since 1908, we’ve aimed “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind,” as our founder, Mary Baker Eddy, put it.

Here, you’ll find award-winning journalism not driven by commercial influences – a news organization that takes seriously its mission to uplift the world by seeking solutions and finding reasons for credible hope.
