''Queen Gags The Sun,'' the headline read. Buckingham Palace was locked in a legal battle with Britain's top-selling tabloid. Palace officials obtained a court injunction stopping the Sun from continuing the recollections of a former palace-kitchen storekeeper, Kieran Kenny. Although not the first clash between the royal family and the press, observers said it was the first time the palace had taken legal steps to prevent a former employee from telling stories about royal figures.
