General Motors Chairman said laid-off auto workers will be rehired at the new GM-Toyota plant at Fremont, Calif. He blamed a translation problem for earlier reports that union workers might be passed over for jobs. American Motors, meanwhile, announced total losses of $153.5 million in 1982.
