Napoleon's debt is a little past due, but France will repay the Swiss village of Bourg St. Pierre. France promised a symbolic repayment of the damages Napoleon's army caused when it trooped through the village in 1800 on its way to Italy. No one's quite sure what form the repayment will take, but the villagers figure they're owed $22,195 at today's rates.
