Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

Democrats made official what had long been expected: San Francisco will be the site of their 1984 Democratic National Convention. San Fransisco got 23 of the 27 votes from the party's site selection committee. Five cities were bidding to become host to the gathering, which will pour millions of dollars into the local economy.
