Kohl reportedly won't pay for US troop relocation

The newsmagazine Der Spiegel said that West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl rejected a US request during the Williamsburg summit on troop redeployment costs.

Quoting informed sources, Der Spiegel said Chancellor Kohl firmly turned down President Reagan's request for West Germany to take over all the costs of restationing US troops to new bases close to the East-West German border.
