PLO rebels take 3 bases from forces loyal to Arafat

Palestinian rebels opposed to Yasser Arafat captured three bases from Arafat loyalists in fresh fighting between rival guerrilla factions in eastern Lebanon, state-run Beirut Radio reported.

The radio said four people were killed in the fighting, which came only hours after Palestinian officials in Damascus said Mr. Arafat, expelled from Damascus Friday after accusing Syria of backing the rebels, might be allowed to return ''in the near future.''
