Rita Lavelle trial to begin July 21

A district court judge refused to dismiss a grand jury indictment against Rita Lavelle, the fired head of the Environmental Protection Agency's toxic-waste cleanup program. Miss Lavelle now faces a jury trial beginning July 21. She was indicted in May for refusing to testify before a House subcommittee looking into allegations of wrongdoing by the EPA.
