Egypt wants timetable for Israeli troop withdrawal

Egypt, apprehensive of Israeli intentions in Lebanon, said in talks with US envoy Robert McFarlane that a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon should be coupled with a tight timetable. Mr. McFarlane assured Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that Israel intends ''full withdrawal'' of all its troops from Lebanon and will not partition the country.
