A veteran bridge inspector for the state of Connecticut was arrested Friday on charges he forged field notes warning of serious rust problems nine months before the June 28 collapse of the Mianus River bridge. The Chief State's Attorney said Jerry White never forwarded the notes to the Department of Transportation.
