A federal judge temporarily blocked the Drug Enforcement Administration Tuesday from spraying the herbicide paraquat to eradicate illegal marijuana fields growing on federal lands.
US District Judge June Green said it appeared that the government should have obtained an environmental-impact statement on the effects of the herbicide before embarking on the eradication effort.
