Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping is an ardent soccer fan and spends his spare time playing bridge and billiards, an official magazine writes in a rare glimpse into the private lives of Chinese officials. Deng also swam about a half-mile daily during a recent two-week seaside holiday but, unlike most of his colleagues, does not exercise regularly, the monthly Liaowang says.
