Chicago teachers vote to strike Monday over pay

Teachers in the nation's third-largest school district will strike Monday over the financially strapped school board's refusal to grant them a pay increase, union officials said Sunday. The strike will keep 435,000 students out of classrooms. Teachers were reportedly seeking a 4 or 5 per cent pay increase.
