Former Zimbabwe leader arrested for S. Africa ties

The government of Prime Minister Robert Mugabe said former prime minister Bishop Abel Muzorewa, arrested by secret agents on Monday, was being held in connection with an investigation into South African-linked

subversion.

It said the bishop, who was allowed to see a lawyer Wednesday, was seized as part of an operation to check ''subversive elements connected with South African bandits.''
