Wife of Solidarity leader accepts Nobel Peace Prize

Danuta Walesa, wife of Polish Solidarity leader Lech Walesa, received a standing ovation after presenting her husband's speech accepting the 1983 Nobel Peace Prize Saturday. One veteran observer of Nobel ceremonies said the only previous occasion he could recall a standing ovation was when Martin Luther King received the prize.

Poland jammed British broadcasts of the ceremony to Eastern Europe.
