Protestants in N. Ireland may study Israeli security
Hard-line Northern Ireland Protestants want to acquire Israeli expertise in border security and counter-terror techniques, Knesset member Michael Bar-Zohar said Tuesday.
Mr. Bar-Zohar, returning from a visit to British-ruled Northern Ireland, told reporters that Protestant leader Ian Paisley would like to send a delegation to study Israeli methods.
''Paisley is absolutely convinced that a security fence must be built along the border with Ireland to prevent IRA terrorists crossing freely and smuggling arms,'' he said.
