TV instruction on taxation
Understanding taxes is the subject of a new instructional television series for Grades 9 through 12, which will soon be made available at no cost to schools in all 50 states and United States territories.
The series, scheduled for release in May, is being developed by the Agency for Instructional Television, in association with the Joint Council on Economic Education. It is intended for use with the Internal Revenue Service's educational program on taxation. It will attempt to link taxation issues and fiscal policy to high school curricula, such as social studies, business education, and economics. It is designed to help students understand how taxation influences their everyday decisions.
