UN contests view that US is swamped in Assembly

The United Nations has sent Congress a study designed to counter the view that the US is consistently outvoted in the General Assembly by a coalition of third-world and communist countries. Based on 1981 and '82 voting patterns, the study said the US voted with the majority 72.7 percent of the time in the General Assembly.
