Reagan trip to China is planned for April

President Reagan will visit the People's Republic of China April 24 to May 1, according to an administration official. Mr. Reagan will depart Washington on April 22, spending two nights in Hawaii before going on to Peking. During the eight-day stay in China he will also visit Shanghai and one other city, the official says.

An advance White House party will travel to China this month to make arrangements for the presidential journey.
