Iranian planes raid three Iraqi towns

Iranian warplanes made revenge attacks three Iraqi towns, Tehran said Wednesday. Iraq reported at least 17 people had been killed and more than 50 wounded in the attacks.

Iranian President Ali Khamenei had vowed Tuesday that Iran would escalate attacks on Iraqi cities, ecempting only "those [cities] with holy shrines."
