2 convictions handed down in Massachusetts rape case

Two Portuguese immigrants were found guilty of aggravated rape Saturday in the case of a New Bedford woman who, the prosecution had said, was assaulted in Big Dan's Tavern as other men cheered.

A second trial, stemming from the same incident, is in progress against four other men charged with aggravated rape involving the woman. A decision in that case is expected this week.
