Businessman turns down lie test in Aquino inquiry

A businessman refused Wednesday to take a lie detector test after denying he knew Rolando Galman, the man the government says assassinated opposition leader Benigno Aquino.

The head of a government-appointed board investigating the slaying told the businessman, Hermilo Gosuico, she had ''a feeling'' he was lying and challenged him on Tuesday to take the controversial test.

Mr. Gosuico has denied statements by Mr. Galman's children that he and an Air Force colonel picked up Galman at his home Aug. 17.
