House votes to extend bankruptcy-court stopgap

The House of Representatives Wednesday passed and sent to the White House a bill extending the temporary federal bankruptcy court system through June 27. The temporary system had been scheduled to expire at midnight Wednesday.

At the same time, the House agreed to a conference with the Senate on permanent legislation revising the bankruptcy court system.
