21 Israelis plead innocent in West Bank terror case
Twenty-one Israelis accused of belonging to a Jewish underground network in the occupied West Bank of the Jordan pleaded innocent Wednesday to charges that they carried out anti-Arab attacks dating back to 1980.
Judge Israel Weiner set their trial for Sept. 16 and ordered all but one of the suspects held in jail. He released one on bail for health reasons.
Charges against them include murdering three Palestinian students, membership in a terror organization, plotting car-bomb attacks on three Palestinian mayors, and conspiring to blow up the Dome of the Rock mosque in Jerusalem, one of Islam's holiest shrines.
