On the Beach

While on the beach one morning, I was basking in the sun. A day of rest, to dream, to think, A day for having fun. I looked out at the ocean, So beautiful that day, And saw a soaring seagull In the sky so far away. It floated off so gracefully And made me wonder why I could not have the freedom That it had while in the sky.
