Dobrynin carries message from US to Moscow
Soviet Ambassador Anatoly Dobrynin left here for Moscow with a message from the US government following talks Tuesday with Secretary of State George Shultz. White House spokesman Larry Speakes declined to disclose what that message was.
The Soviet ambassador said his talks with Mr. Shultz were wide-ranging and that one of the issues discussed was Moscow's call for talks on demilitarization of space.
The White House quickly accepted the proposal last week, but also said it wanted to raise nuclear arms control issues at such talks in Vienna this September, a position the Kremlin labeled ''totally unsatisfactory.''
There was no indication whether progress had been made toward such a meeting between the two superpowers.
