Moscow says it's waiting for word from US on talks

The Soviet Union has said it has not received a positive response to its proposal to discuss weapons in space with the United States, and that serious talks would be impossible unless Washington agreed to its proposed agenda.

The Communist Party daily Pravda made clear today that the Kremlin was not satisfied with US assertions that Washington would send a negotiating team to Vienna in September, as proposed by Moscow, without conditions.
