Romanian journalist here for Olympics asks asylum
A Romanian journalist, Vladimir Moraru, who had been helping the San Diego Union cover the Olympic Games, has asked for political asylum in the United States. The newspaper had hired Mr. Moraru as a translator and researcher to assist its staff.
