Rev. Jackson denied a South African visa
South Africa has denied the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson's application for a visa to visit the white-ruled country, an embassy spokesman said Thursday. He did not rule out that one might be granted at a later date, depending on circumstances which he did not specify.
Mr. Jackson said he had hoped to ''facilitate a dialogue'' that might lead to changes in the nation. He visited the country in July of 1979.
